Tour to Canada
In July 2007 the choir travelled to St John's, Newfoundland to take part in the sixth biennial Festival 500, an international non-competitive festival of choral music, which concentrated on Celtic influences.
The choir performed in five concerts, including the Grand Finale with a massed chorus of 1500 voices. In support of the Celtic theme to the festival, we took a number of pieces as Gaeilge by both established and upcoming Irish composers.
Supporting Grants
This tour would not have been possible without the generous support of Culture Ireland and the Ireland Newfoundland Partnership.
